You do not need to take Drawing Introduction 1 in order to take Drawing Introduction 2. Though the techniques do not build on each other, each technique is essential to improve your observational skills. Artists use these techniques every time they draw or paint realistically.
These drawing techniques are practices that anyone can learn. Over time, these techniques become second nature and allow you to draw anything and everything realistically. The ability to draw realistically gives you confidence in your art and is fundamental to every visual medium in your future.
We will cover three drawing techniques in this workshop as we draw a still life.
You will need a sketchbook, drawing pencils (at least one H or 2B pencil, and one 4,6,or 8B pencil) and good eraser. A few suggested brands are pictured.
